In the lead-up to Hugo Savala’s 26th minute try, Nawaqanitawase passed to Dom Young down the right flank and was levelled by Mulitalo.

After Bunker intervention, referee Grant Atkins called Mulitalo out and sent him for a spell.

“Your contact on mark without the ball was moderate force, contact to the head, it is on report and you’re in the bin,” referee Atkins said.

Michael Ennis and Cooper Cronk were convinced Mulitalo faced further action from the match review committee.

“He’s got a problem all right,” Ennis said.

“That’s a heavy shot and he just launches and although his body position is lowering at the point he delivers the pass, the duty of care that they look for, he hits him flush.

“And the Sharks are down to 12 men.”

“Mulitalo put Mark Nawaqanitawase into next week with that contact,” Cronk said.

“He went to the sin bin. They got the penalty and I think that is going to get looked at.

“He was lucky he didn’t hit him flush or he might be off the field for the rest of the game, but I definitely think that is going to be looked at by the match review committee.”

Mulialo will be rubbed out for one game with an early guilty plea.
