Bulldogs halfback Toby Sexton is reportedly set to quit the club at the end of the season in the wake of Lachlan Galvin’s arrival at Belmore amid links to three NRL rivals.
It follows Foxsports.com.au’s report that Reed Mahoney has been granted permission to talk to rival clubs effective immediately.
The Daily Telegraph reported Sexton, who is off-contract in 2025, is set to leave the Bulldogs at season’s end after Galvin’s signing.

Sexton was yet to be offered an extension form the Bulldogs before Galvin’s switch from the Tigers and is now looking at joining another club in 2026 and beyond.
The Bulldogs have not formally advised Sexton he will not be offered a new deal but the playmaker can see the writing on the wall
The 25-year-old has already attracted interest from three NRL clubs.
Sexton’s manager was confident of securing a contract extension with the Bulldogs last month after holding promising talks with football boss Phil Gould.
But the Bulldogs’ Galvin bid has seen Sexton change his mind and he will now look to continue his career elsewhere.
It is understood Sexton has no bitterness over the Galvin signing, but is looking at playing No.7 at a different club beyond this season.

Just last month, Bulldogs coach Cameron Ciraldo praised Sexton’s team-first mentality that has seen the club lose just two games all season and lead the NRL heading into the Origin series.
“Currently Toby is off-contract and he hasn’t once ever put himself before the team,” the Canterbury coach said.
“Have you guys made that a thing?!” | 03:59
“He’s been a really big character in the way we’ve turned around our culture and our connectivity.
“He’s played just over 50 games now, so he’s starting to feel more and more like he belongs in the NRL and I’m starting to see that in bits and pieces of his play.

“Toby’s got a really good energy around the group, he’s a really popular member of the team
“He’s always looking to get better and he’s coming in every day and works really hard with the coaches.
“‘Gus’ (Gould) and his manager are in constant conversations (about a new deal) but Toby’s only job right now is to focus on getting better every week and my job is to help him do that.”
However, Galvin’s arrival and with Bailey Hayward and Mitchell Woods vying for the No.7 jersey in the future, Sexton’s future lies elsewhere.
