The Warriors and the Blues will be sweating on an injury to Origin star Mitch Barnett after he limped off with a knee problem against the Rabbitohs.

In the 22nd minute, Barnett fell awkwardly after some friendly fire saw him collide with Chanel Harris-Tavita while trying to tackle Souths star Jayden Sullivan.
Steve Roach summed up the concern for the NSW forward.

“Mitch Barnett hasn’t moved,” Roach said on Fox League.
“It doesn’t look real good here for Barnett.”
Matt Russell initially thought the Warriors skipper would battle on.
“The problem here for Barnett is the knee,” Russell said.
“He grabbed the back of the upper leg after landing. They are doing all the tests on that right knee.

However, Barnett was visibly frustrated when he was forced to leave the field, screaming out, “F***”.

“It looks like he may have to succumb to that injury,” Russell said.
“The Warriors have confirmed it is a knee injury and his afternoon is over,” Duke said.
“He will need scans, but let’s hope it is not too serious.”
Laurie Daley and Andrew Webster will be hoping Barnett isn’t out long-term.
