Kaufusi is no stranger to the match review committee and with seven minutes left in the Dolphins’ thrilling 20-18 win over the Warriors he was in trouble again.

With the Warriors leading 18-16, Kaufusi was third man in and dived at the legs of Laban, who lay on the ground clutching at his ankle after the incident.

“A bit of pressure on the outside of the leg,” Warren Smith said on Fox League.

“Laban is distraught on the ground and it is going to be a penalty.

“Felise Kaufusi only came back from suspension not long ago and he comes in third man in and weight on the lower leg.

“That’s a lazy effort by Kaufusi.”

Michael Ennis had no doubt what was coming next from referee Ashley Klein after consultation with the Bunker.

“He’s in trouble,” Ennis said.

Klein wasted no time in sending Kaufusi for an early shower as the Dolphins were reduced to 12 men for the remainder of the contest.

“Unnecessary contact, high risk of injury and clearly dangerous, in the bin and on report,” Klein said.

“Felise Kaufusi goes to the sin bin and his night is over,” Smith added.

However, the Dolphins staged a late miracle comeback with Jamayne Isaako scoring the match winning try with a minute to go.

But they will likely be without Kaufusi, who could be set for another sideline stint when the match review committee hand down their charges on Saturday.
